NGINGU is a womenswear and menswear ready-to-wear South African fashion brand which was launched in 2021 by Busisiwe Buthelezi, originating in the desire to create artistic and conceptual fashion that is inspired by her heritage and upbringing as a South African and African. NGINGU (a name derived from the Zulu pronoun) is a contemporary brand that embraces African heritage and showcases unique craftsmanship through vibrant designs. 

 

As a proudly South African brand, we pride ourselves as a brand that creates African lux fashion, that represents the cultures, language and beauty of the continent and its' people, while also appealing to the global market.

Our products are made consciously and produced in South Africa. Our aim is to use as much natural textiles as possible and we create our items in an utmost sustainable fashion through the use of locally sourced materials and a considered form of textile printing.
